welcome to the ithaca connection. our purpose is to nurture & connect our local community, and share it with those who visit us!
we do this by illuminating the people that make up our community on an individual level. then, as the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, we come together to share our light with each other, and the world!
the ithaca connection is the creation of a local who moved to ithaca in the summer of 2000. following a passion for bringing people together to celebrate life, the project focuses on local connection, symbiotic relationships, and the direct experience of life, where everyone benefits and feels connected!
on a functional level, that means providing a directory for anyone to offer something locally, provided that it supports the local community, and benefits the greater good. those visiting the directory can find what they seek locally, supporting the individual and the community as a whole. members of the community can find each other to connect, offer or ask for support, or seek collaboration.
this directory of everything local is curated to focus on supporting people here. each category lists individuals and what they offer. we also value small businesses and organizations that support the community. to honor and highlight these groups without detracting from the individuals listed, there are categories for small business, non-profits, farms & CSA’s, and venues.
these listings explore community connection & involvement. is the small business locally owned? do they source locally, create things themselves or sell locally-made products? this curation has no stead-fast rules and is more an overall reflection of their commitment to the ithaca community.
this is a conscious commitment to our community, and the key to our intention in creating a valuable resource for all. we welcome all constructive feedback to continue growing and helping!

as we see each other’s light, we grow together through positive interaction, shared experiences & collaboration. we support each other to step into our sense of purpose & passion for life. as we follow our personal path, we then come together on a collective level. as our paths align in harmony, we step further into a world in which we all feel more joy, fulfillment & excitement in our lives! we remember that we are all connected, and we feel the benefit of that connection, receiving direct experience and feedback that we are on our path!
